Golden yellow. Honey comb, small tart yellow plum (aliča), saltiness, pickled Moroccan lemon, brioche nose. After plenty of air a magnificent vanilla, turron, Nugat, zephyr develops. Salty, creamy, savoury palate. Let the nose grow and don't swirl it before sniffing, it is so magnifficent and unique! (A-)
Intense nose of oriental spices, bazaar, orange blossom. Palate is fuller than '95, oak and even tannins can be felt, also brioche, nuts. Creamy palate, plain tasty, very intergarted and well put together. Very good. (B+)
At first salty, honey aromas, then honey sweetness, pronounced honey comb, lemon toffee, orange blosssom, cammomille tea. Mild, superb development in the glass, grows with air time. Interesting pickle juice nuance appears later. Very good. (B+)
2h decant. Garnet-brick colour. Intense, deep nose of Creme de Cassis, sweet and smoky aromas, some leather, dark chocolate, pepper, slight barnyard in the beginning but it quickly dissipates. Medium body, high accidity, very long finish. Smoky cranberries on the palate and finish. An intelectual, interesting wine. (B+)
A more classic nose than '89. Still quite acidic, but more tender than '89. Tart cherries, tart blue plums, Christmas spices, cloves. Ginger accidity on the finish, very long, interesting but may be too sour aftertaste.
Smoke, smoked meats on the nose, also lilac. Some sweetness and oriental spices develops with time. Tart cherries, Interesting sweet finish, rather smooth tannins, but actually not ready yet, too tight and/or closed. Give it some 5 years.
Nose the closest to classic red wines comparing it to '89, '97 and '03. Quite closed, tannic and tight in my opinion, not as interesting as older bottles. Of course, enjoyable on a larger scale, but this will greatly improve with time.
