Aromas of wet stone and minerality, followed up by grapefruit, spice and more minerals on the palate. Very dry with medium acidity, almost feeling a bit unbalanced.

2010 Trimbach Riesling 88 Points

Floral on the nose, with lemon curd and green apples on the palate. Intense though not particularly complex flavors that lingers on the dry finish. Nice enough, but a bit expensive to be good QPR.

2011 Weingut Josef Leitz Riesling Eins Zwei Dry "3" 88 Points

Savory aromas with some peach fruit, followed up by granny smith apples, lemon and peach pit on the palate. Good QPR for a Rheingau riesling though lacking some complexity.

New Zealand, South Island, Marlborough
Aromas of wet wool, followed by pear, kiwi and key lime on the palate. Some smoky minerality adds complexity as well. Dry with medium acidity.

2010 Weingut Josef Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling Hinterhaus 93 Points

Intense floral and tropical aromas on the nose, which comes out as passion fruit, pineapple and melon on the palate. Some ginger and spice notes as it develops in the mouth. Very long finish with some bread and bakery notes at the very end.

Not very dominant on the nose, with apple, pear and apricot flavors on the palate. Off-dry with medium acidity and some smoky minerality at the end. Decent wine, but lacking the complexity of similarly styled German Rieslings.
