Le Sommelier

An impressive and expressive nose packed with sweet cherries, mushrooms but also an insane florality and aromatic complexity.
Clean and pure expression of elegant cherry flavors with an impressive acidity and a HUGE aftertaste.
The purity of the palate is just beautiful and overall this is just an insane wine and I can't imagine Brunello being any better than this.
A huge and legendary wine! 99-100p.

Extremely complex nose packed with lovely intensity.
The palate has lots of dark and warm fruit but also some tar, dirt, camphor and olives.
Just a huge wine with lots of tannins but still maintaining a wonderful balance.
A legendary wine!!

Sweet blackberry fruit with a wonderful acidity and overall balance.
Lovely and refreshing with notes of sewer, barnyard and coffee.
A lot better than I could have expected and a wine I would love to taste more of!

Dark and dense fruit and perhaps a little singular.
Still a lovely wine but lacks a little on the nose.
Plenty of stuffing for improving with more years.

Complex and very aromatic. Has an almost apple-like acidity but plenty of dense sweet cherries and marzipan.
A genius, impressive and just beautiful wine!!

No bubbles left but plenty of impressive flavors.
Lots of depth packed with coffee, nuts and brown butter.
Has a dark sherry note but without seeming defective.
Lovely old bottle!

A perfect bottle showing an impressive youthfulness.
