Housewarming party with very few guests.
Cosmopolitan salad, smoked roe (Kalix löjrom AOC), Wästerbottensost, olive oil, red onions etc on thin bread.
There was also a biodynamic bubbly wine that was ok and very fruity. The low-for-the-genre acids went well with my palate.
Hög temp, kort tid!
Makalöst kött!
Vinerna var också väl valda för sammanhanget.
rikt, fylligt och rent av dramatiskt gott!
IPA, ale, Strongbow, lager, pilsner etc. And the most amazing aurora I've ever seen... We enjoyed it for almost three hours. All of me looked like a raisin :-)
fell asleap immediately and had a slightly heavy head in the morning.
2003 E. Guigal Hermitage 90 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Hermitage
Big bold Syrah, California style. Absolutely amazing composition as a red wine for grilled meat. Far from a restrained Hermitage and no pepper in the olfactory region.
Better after 1 hr decant.
QPR = not as amazing.
Was slightly maturity-oxidized already (perfect cork) so, maybe it's started to fall apart a bit early.

2009 Couly-Dutheil Chinon Clos de l'Echo 92 Points
France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon
Intense and surprisingly opaque.
Has wet rocks, grass, touch of sweaty mare, tobacco and blueberries on the nose.
In the mouth there are blueberries everywhere. Tannins are somewhat relaxed and dutifully hidden by the ample young fruit. Acids are balancing. There's length and complexity as well.
A very fine wine!
