Winery visit Saturday monrning as part of the annual Great Yarmouth Wine Weekend. Presented by Les Jarret, owner of Shawsgate Vineyard
Very interesting tour of winery by Tom Jarrett and the vineyard by Les, but I'm surprised by the inclusion of two such old Muller-Thurgaus and that they are not releasing current vintages.
1992 Shawsgate Vineyard Müller-Thurgau 77 Points

A 1992 English Muller-Thurgau? Amazing. This wine was rebottled and recorked in 2004. Citrus, very dry and sour. Not dead, but not pleasant.

1994 Shawsgate Vineyard Müller-Thurgau 78 Points

Less dry and sour than the 1992, drinkable, but as far as I am concerned too old.

2003 Shawsgate Vineyard Pandora 79 Points
United Kingdom, England, Sussex, West Sussex
Burned almond flavours, grapefruit finish turning to puckering. Odd for a medium wine :) (Blend of Muller-Thurgau/Schoenburger/Reichensteiner)

2003 Shawsgate Vineyard Jester 82 Points
United Kingdom, England, Sussex, West Sussex
Frementation stopped to get a medium-sweet wine. Its pleasnt quaffing, easydrinking, some apple crispness underneath. (Blend of Muller-Thurgau/Schoenburger/Reichensteiner)
