Full garnet with some bricking at the rim. Lovely nose, sweet spice, mellow red fruit, cedar, warm leather and some orange peel. Fine on the attack, and mid-palate with a softly silky texture, good acidity and a bright finish. Just lovely. ****1/2
Full garnet to ruby at the core. Red fruit, coffee and leather nose. A bottle fuller and less nuanced than the 81 Vina Real. A little richer on the palate with a positive finish. Ready but should have a long plateau. ****
Deep ruby, still very youthful and vibrant. Bright red fruit, a faint touch of vanilla, and just a hint of leather and spice. Quite vibrant, briary red fruit. Bright and fresh, plenty of acidity and some medium fine unresolved tannin. Approachable, but more to be gained in the future. Lovely. ***(*)

Slightly fuller straw and richer nose than the villages. Extra density, weight and persistence too. Saline bite. Very good. ****
