Tonight's theme was the Loire Valley!
Already showing its age, with a hint of oxidation and some honey on the nose. Very rich and full bodied. Yellow fruit, lime, glycerine, with a soft texture. Medium acidity.

Fragrant, beautiful nose. Flowers, sweet white grape juice, and honey. Lush, rich and dense on the palate; enough to come across as slightly sweet. Yellow stone fruit. Beautifully integrated with great acidity.

Interesting nose; seems like some spice or smoke alongside cut flowers. A little hard to place. Lovely body, with lemon curd, white peach, flowers, and a great richness. Nicely balanced with great acidity.

Is this what you call cat pee? Interesting nose. Medium+ weight, lemon and chalk on the palate. Finishes a bit dry and austere.

There's some tropical fruit here, but the name escapes me. Either way, it's seductive, alongside grapefruit and citrus. More lemon and citrus on the body, which is quite round, perhaps with some oak? Medium-plus weight, with great acidity and a good amount of complexity.

A touch astringent on the nose, with hints of anise. Lemon and lime on the palate with a big backbone of acid. Finishes dry and a bit tart.

Really enjoyable at the moment. Lots of grapefruit and grass to start. Medium-plus body with a nice richness showing yellow fruit, lemon curd, and minerals. Very fresh, with enough acid on the finish to keep you coming back for more.

Flowers and grass on the nose. The fruit comes across as slightly sweet, with flavors of white grape and citrus. Fresh and young, with not a lot of complexity, but medium acid.

Not my favorite tonight; dry, with lots of acid and acetone. Slightly sweet.

Tasted blind. Red spice, cinnamon. Pure fruit, cherry, spice, and a little cough syrup. Medium length on the finish with good acidity.

Tasted blind. Pepper, smoke, and a little bit of VA. Nice red cherry fruit is still fresh, rounded out with some spice. Bigger body is balanced out with plenty of acid. Showing age around the corners, but the fruit is still there.

Lots of mint. Lots. Plus some dark cherry fruit and plum in the big, dense body. Dry tannins to finish. It's intense.
