Northern Rhone

After a week in the southern Rhone, we packed up and drove to Maison Pic, our hotel in Valence. This was my second visit to Pic. Its eponymous restaurant, headed by Anne-Sophie Pic, was awarded its third Michelin star this year. We had a magnificant, four-hour lunch that paired extremely well with several Northern Rhone wines. Michael and I took dozens of pictures to document our culinary experience. Last year I thought our meal was indisputably three-star quality, and it was nice to see Anne-Sophie Pic recognized for the amazing work she is doing at this restaurant. Last year’s dinner was one of the best meals of my life, and this lunch was just superb.
