Untitled at the Whitney

We met Jill & David at the Whitney to view ew the modern art. Then we had dinner at Danny Meyer's Untitled. Terrific service as is always the case from USHG. Vanessa, the sommelier handled our wines deftly. The garden-driven food was uniformly good though lacked memorable high points. We shared all including a cheese plate & Matcha cake, almond sesame brittle, strawberries
Marinated melons yogurt, mint
Fried fish lettuce wrap, okra, radishes
Mussels, romesco, fairytale eggplant
Beets, breakfast radish, mascarpone
Summer squash, chiles, ricotta, hazelnut
Arctic char, grilled cucumbers, shiso, trout roe
Braised lamb and merguez, eggplant, heirloom tomatoes
Country rib, carrot-cabbage slaw, summer herbs
2010 Benito Santos Albariño Pago de Xoan
Spain, Galicia, Rías Baixas
This confirmed that the previous bottle was not correct. A return to that wonderful balance of crispness and fullish body. Decidedly lemon flavored with a slightly creamy texture. This is a delicious, intriguing and versatile wine.

2012 von Winning Muskateller
Germany, Pfalz
A pretty wine with intense acidity and decent depth. Paired nicely with a variety of dishes.
