Beautiful nose of red cherry, spice, black tea, but much less interesting on the palate. Fairly light bodied. Good.

Syrah/Viognier cofermented, blended with Petite Sirah. Very fruit forward and likely would be quite popular at a party; silky, very approachable, red and black fruit. Pretty good.

Harsch, underripe tannin and very little else. Meh--.

Excellent, fragrant nose of smoke, black cherry, herbs, eucalyptus. Very fine tannin and medium-minus acid. Not a lot of structure but yummy. Good to very good.

Rich, ripe plum fruit; tingly tannin. OK.

Unsure if this is the right bottling, but it was a 2012 blend of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. Herbs, cherry, low structure, but a preponderance of VA. Tasting attendant agreed and opened a second bottle which was equally plagued by VA.

Rich. Very approachable but plentiful tannin. Very nice texture. Not loads of complexity, but a good, big wine. Good.

Red fruit, chocolate. Lots of light, dusty, tingly tannin. Good acid. Very nice structure. Long finish. Quite good. My favorite of the reds.

Very bright, and with loads of structure. Brighter red fruit (cherries, strawberries, cranberries), great acidity. Very good.

Huge, amazingly complex and beautiful nose of flowers, tropical fruits, and honeysuckle. Certainly prepares one for a sweet, or at least off dry, wine, but the palate is dry, crisp, with nice acidity. Interesting, very nice wine.

2016 disgorgement. Bacon and bacon fat on the nose. Nothing on the nose speaks of a sparkling wine. Admittedly, I expected (and perhaps wanted) to hate this, but with an open mind, admit it is very nice, and quite unique.

Ripe tropicals, with a pleasant nose and attack, but the palate is simple and overly sweet. OK.

Nose of dill and more dill. Quite hollow on the mid-palate. Meh.

Really nice, pretty attack, but falls off quickly with little finish. Not bad for $20ish.

Perfectly pleasant herbal and citrus, but somewhat lacking brightness/acid. Medium-long finish. OK.

2015 Wattle Creek Sauvignon Blanc Reserve

[Alexander Valley] Melon and herbs; a much more serious SB than the base bottling, richer; waxy. Nice acid. Very good.

Medium intensity nose of apple primarily. On the palate, heavy, muddy, flabby. Meh.

2015 Wattle Creek Viognier

This was just bad, and the worst of the whites. Meh--.

2015 Wattle Creek Rosé
USA, California, North Coast, Yorkville Highlands
The nose showed very little, as it was served quite cold, but revealed some greener tropical fruits. On the palate, tart red berries and some tropical notes. Very pleasant. Good.
