Light, transparent color. Fragrant cigar box. Light bodied, fairly ripe fruit that is a bit alcoholic. Nice soil, gentle tannins, tart finish. Needs a couple of years to round out.
Light color. Flowers and mint with a bit of citrus peel. Light weight, some sap. Lively, high acid, citrus tinged fruit. Quite a lot of structure for its weight-the tannic, tobacco-laced finish sneaks up on you. Needs time.
Light red core, lighter rim. Anise. Bigger and broader than the normale-nice feel. Black fruit, backward, tart, and tannic. Not a great deal of charm and I wonder about the balance.
Light ruby. Fennel. Light weight, green tones, more open than the Albesani. Good feel, almost sweet fruit, then dry, soil-filled, tarry, tannic finish with a lot of grip. Be patient.
Browning red. Piercing green herb aromatics. Medium weight, round entry, sweet black/red fruit with some heat late. Again, very tannic finish that is persistent and not totally clean. Assertive Barbaresco, not a finesseful wine.

Ruby. Floral aromas. Black cherry, earth, and a bit of licorice. Medium weight, supple feel. A delicious gulp.
