Horrible in every aspect. Unfriendly staff, lazy and uninformed. Uncomfortable place by the way.
Salted rancid almonds were served as a tapa. Never again.

Friendly as ever
All wines served by the glass from new bottles. I am lucky. Friendly, assertive staff.
- A couple of Galician Raw oysters (12/20)
- Razor clams and local red prawns (13/20) One of both excellent: fresh, savoury. The other one just crap.
- Candied artichokes with lime (1/20) Shameful and it was erased from my bill. Good reaction.
- Tuna Sashimi (12/20) Served a little warm when you have knowledge enough to resolve that ...
- Tatin pie (14/20) Well-made and perfectly balance between Apple, ice-cream and puff pastry. Nice.

    A wine very young and therefore timid and coming from a vintage already suffocated.
    Vibrant citric colour with faint aromas of unripe pear, apple and a empty bag of walnuts.
    Sensation of glycerin on the palate with an acidity and a sense of alcohol that burns a little.
    It may dance at the debutante ball but it will not triumph precisely because it's lack of elegance.

    Un vino muy joven y por lo tanto tímido y encima de una añada ya de por si sofocada.
    De un color cítrico vibrante con unos débiles aromas a pera inmadura, a manzana y a bolsa de nueces vacía.
    Sensación de glicerina al paladar con una acidez y un sentido del alcohol que quema un poco.
    Puede presentarse al baile de debutantes pero no triunfará precisamente por su elegancia.

  • NV Ayala Champagne Brut Majeur

    Pretty evolved for a two years old disgorged Ayala.
    Aromas of white chocolate, condensed milk and brioche. Elegant even. Nice mousse on the palate, quite long and savoury with a delicious aftertaste. Brilliant effort.

    Bastante evolucionado para un Ayala de dos años.
    Aromas a chocolate blanco, leche condensada y brioche. Elegante incluso. Buena mousse en boca, bastante largo y sabroso con un regusto delicioso. Un resultado brillante.

    Almond and very dry. Always a safe choice.
    A wine that was not even on the list by the glass but from of opened who knows when half bottle.
    Taberna del Gourmet totally disappointed me
    A poor service and I went packing away from there ASAP.

    Almendrado y muy seco. Una elección segura.
    Un vino que no estaba ni en la lista por copas de una media botella abierta vete tu a saber cuándo.
    Taberna del Gourmet me ha decepcionado totalmente
    Un servicio pésimo y me fui echando hostias de ahí.

    By the glass from a new bottle
    Initially an I mpressive mousse with an unusual strength. Very mineral leaving memories of candied citrus and iodized notes. It is complemented with touches of pastry.
    In the mouth its creamness showed a little short except for the bitter aftertaste which makes a repeat of the experiences on the nose. There is class in this champagne. Really.
    Again two Galician oysters try to match, this time tasteless.

    Por copas de una botella nueva
    Impresionante mousse inicial con una fuerza inusitada. Muy mineral dejando recuerdos de cítricos confitados y de notas yodadas. Se complementa con toques de pastelería.
    En boca es un poco corto salvo por el retrogusto amargo y que hace repetir las experiencias de la nariz. De verdad hay clase en este champán.
    De nuevo dos ostras gallegas, esta vez insípidas.

    At 19 € by the glass from a new bottle, who can resist?
    Impressive beginning where when opening appears an explosion of sensations: bread with a touch of calvados, candied fruit plumcake, mineral greetings and earthy notes. The whole set.
    Similar echoes on the palate. Burp Krug, one of those secret pleasures today shared: boosting the food to the brim, razor clams and red local shrimps.

    A 19€ la copa de una botella nueva, quién puede resistirse?
    Impresionante inicio donde al abrirse aparece una explosión de sensaciones: pan con un toque de calvados, plumcake de frutas confitadas, minerales saludos y notas terrosas. Todo un conjunto.
    Parecidos ecos en el paladar. Eructar Krug, una esos placeres secretos hoy compartidos: potenciar la comida a tope.
    Con navajas a la plancha y gamba roja.

    Served by the glass from a new bottle.
    After requesting Pie Franco from Nieva (that figure in the wine list) and offer me the basic of that cellar in magnum. To be polished.
    Served a little warmed which is a defect of the sommelier, not of the Chablis. There is always someone smarter than you and maybe today be today that was presented Joint to you mylady.
    Mineral, citric, steely, what is said a book-text Chablis on the nose.
    Leaving aside the temperature, there is no depth or complexity but a pure enjoyment. Vintage for sleep a decade.
    pairing insipid salted artichokes with lime.

    Tras solicitar pie franco de Nieva (que figuraba en la carta) y ofrecerme el básico de la bodega en magnum. A pulir.
    Servido un pelín caliente lo cual es un defecto del sumelier, no del Chablis. Siempre hay alguien más listo que tu y puede que hoy sea el día que se presenté en tu garito.
    Mineral, cítrico, acerado, lo que se dice un Chablis de libro en nariz.
    Dejando a un lado la temperatura, no hay profundidad ni complejidad alguna si no un puro disfrute. Añada de las de guardar.
    Maridó alcachofas insulsas con Lima y sal.

    Served by the glass from a new bottle.
    Some depth of ripe black fruits but not overused. Plums and a smooth earthy feeling. Something leather-like. At the end an adult treat on the nose.
    In the mouth it is a bit bland and short of some carbon ore perhaps but accompanied perfectly a tuna sashimi served a little too warmed. Let's be understanding.

    Cierta profundidad de frutos negros maduros pero sin abusar. Ciruelas y
    una suave sensación terrosa. Algo de cuero. Al final una golosina para adultos en nariz.
    En boca es un poco insulso y corto algo de mineral de carbón quizás pero acompañó perfectamente a un shasami de atún servido un poco caliente. Seamos comprensivos.

    Suddenly what so 6 in the tablet were transformed into 3 so I stayed firm with the 5. And in a double somersault suddenly appeared a 6 in the place of the 03. I had no choice ... but what a mess the restaurant have. Out of control.
    Served warmed by the glass from a new bottle: apricots in a perfect bar syrup that does not exist.
    A bit linear in the mouth but effective after all with a balance between sweetness and acidity where the sweet is definitively winning. A pity. Before let me enjoy that apricot nose.
    Accompanied a faithful interpretation of a tart tatin.

    De repente lo que tan 6 en la tableta se transformaron en 3 así que me quedé con los 5. Y en un doble salto mortal de repente apareció una 6 del 03. No me quedó elección ...
    Servido calentita por copas de una botella nueva: todas!
    Melocotones en un perfecto almíbar bótrico que no existe.
    Un tanto lineal en boca pero efectivo después de todo con un equilibrio entre dulzor y acide que está venciendo hacia el lado dulce. Una pena. Antes déjame disfrutar esa nariz albaricoqueña.
    Acompañó una interpretación fiel de una tarta tatin.
