Introduction

Dinner with Kate, Juan, Melissa, Chewy, Christie and myself. Dinner was raosted mustard/thyme/rosemary encrusted chicken thighs over salted buttered brown rice accompanied with roasted turnips, beets, carrots, brussel sprouts, crunchy chickpeas with a white balsamic/basil dressing. Dessert was a fruit salad with watermelon, apples, navel oranges topped with pine nuts and honey. Didn't take notes on the wines and so the notes are more of impressions than detailed note.

    Part of a dinner with company so more impressions here. 100% Meunier. Bright, full of tart apples, raspberries and minerals. Nicely balanced and very nice.

  • 2012 Cowan Cellars Pinot Noir Rosé 89 Points

    Part of a dinner with company so more impressions here. Cherries, strawberries and herb aromas. Palate is a leaner with more tart apples, citrus, tart red cherries and herbs with a nice lingering finish. I remember this being more fruit forward on release whereas now, the acids are prominent. Now, I think it's more austere and better with food and has more than enough stuffing and complexity to take its place at the table. Interesting to see how this is evolving.

    Part of a dinner with company so more impressions here. No premox which is always a relief with white burgundies. Tart apples, herbs and some minerals. Nice depth to the wine but feels like its missing something. May well have caught this at an adolescent stage. Have another bottle so hold that for a couple of years, if not 5 or more. Enjoyed this.

  • 2015 Enderle & Moll Pinot Noir Liaison 91 Points

    Part of a dinner with company so more impressions here. Decanted for 2h. Great aromatics of red and black cherries, herbs, green stems, and earth. Palate follows but really the fruit felt like it was in the background - omnipresent but not at the fore - letting the other components of herbs, forest floor, and some green stems really shine. Nice depth to this wine with plenty of stuffing. Lots to like here.

    Part of a dinner with company so more impressions here. Honeyed baked tart apples, dried apricots, minerals, and herbs. Nice acids gives the wine life without a hint of being cloying. Nice and drinking so well now.

    Part of a dinner with company so more impressions here. Honeyed lemon and grapefruit, dried apricots, herbs and minerals. Excellent acids really allow the wine to stand up and shine while the depth of flavors and textures keep interest. Still feels young even though it's 19 yo. Lots to like here.
