Interesting and complex fruit flavors. Comes across as a Rhone style blend and is certainly interesting.

  • 2015 Kongsgaard Chardonnay 94 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley

Very intense flavors, packed with impressions and lots of minerals in the aftertaste.
The fruit is lemon and some exotic fruits (apricots) but it has also a clear touch of oak which is charming.
It is quite rich but still has a lovely clean and fresh aftertaste with some bitterness coming nicely through leaving an impression of a nicely balanced wine.
    Loved it!

  • 1999 Bollinger Champagne La Grande Année 93 Points

    France, Champagne

Lots of baked red apples and it is clearly starting to show some age.
Still, there is lots of freshness and overall, it is very interesting and nice to drink right now.

  • 2001 E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Turque 94 Points

    France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie

Very expressive and elegant wine. Opens up very nicely with air and has an elegant raspberry/blueberry fruit but also some game flavors.
Piercing and refreshing acidity that really livens everything up and clearly impresses. The wine is all about elegance and intensity. Very impressive.

  • 1998 Pierre Péters Champagne Grand Cru Cuvée Speciale Blanc de Blancs Les Chetillons 93 Points

    France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru

Lovely quince and pear style fruit but still with a lovely acidity. It is clearly showing some age and seems to be at its peak.
It does have some forest floor and mushroom hints which is very charming. A pleasure to taste!

The drying of the grapes are hidden behind a lovely acidity that really refreshes the wine.
Overall, it is very impressive for its style and is a pleasure to drink.
