• NV De Sousa et Fils Champagne Grand Cru Cuvée des Caudalies Blanc de Blancs

  France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru

  Smells like whitewashed and little else. Very dry in the mouth with length and flavors of hay and citrus. Delicate but elegant acidity. Sincerely speaking it needed to served more chilled.
  
  Huele a encalado y poco más. Muy seco en boca con longitud y sabores a heno con cítricos. Delicada pero elegante acidez. Sinceramente necesitaba más frío a la hora de ser servido.

  Can I say this one was flawed cause so huge sediments at the bottom of the bottle without any acetone trace? Purist can't forgive me this for sure ...
  Nobody can't remember either when this bottle was open because its low demand.
  
  ¿Puede uno decir que una botella está defectuosa sin que aparezcan notas de acetona solamente por esos sedimentos gigantescos en el fondo de la botella? Los talibanes del Jerez no van a perdonarme..
  Punto de rancio por llevar abierto ni se sabe cuándo.

• NV Barbadillo Manzanilla pasada en rama de la Pastora

  It needs airing because it is flat on the nose and it is not because of the cold. Served by the glass from a bottle surely opened by some Taliban caveman. Once the process is done, the same salty aromas of ever, delicious and balanced.
  Aqueous texture in the mouth with a short length. Without a doubt, not the best Pastora we have drunk.
  
  Necesita airearse porque está plano en nariz y no es por el frío. Servido por copas de una botella seguramente abierta por algún talibán cavernícola. Una vez realizado el proceso los mismos aromas salinos, deliciosos y equilibrados de siempre.
  Paso acuoso por boca y escasa longitud. Sin duda no la mejor Pastora que hayamos bebido.

• NV Sacristía AB Palo Cortado

  Very cloudy. More a madeira that tends toward toffee than a cut stick of sour butter on the nose. Crunchy in the mouth with an endless length. Totally recommended.
  
  Muy turbio. Más un madeiira que tiende hacia toffe que un palo cortado de mantequilla agria en nariz
  Crujiente en boca con una longitud sin final. Totalmente recomendado.

  Hawthorn flower and rose petals. Elegant and exclusive.
  There is no bubble and to consider it a calm wine it has a texture that is too watery. It's worth it just for the nose.
  
  Flor de espino y pétalos de rosa. Elegante y exclusivo.
  No hay ya burbuja y para considerarlo un vino tranquilo tiene una textura demasiado acuosa. Merece la pena sólo por la nariz.

• 2011 Gramona Corpinnat III Lustros Brut Nature Finca Font de Jui

  By the glass from a new bottle
  Without request there is no suffering: champagne texture and a finish of champagne in the mouth. I always prefer the Gramona on the nose with those marked mineral aromas: stony and mercury that escapes from a thermometer. My safe bet in cavas not indigestible.
  
  Por copas de una botella nueva
  Sin solicitud no hay sufrimiento: textura de champán y final de cava en boca. Siempre prefiero a los Gramona en nariz con esos marcados aromas a minerales: pedregosos y de mercurio que se escapa de un termómetro. Mi apuesta segura en cavas no indigestos.

• NV Emilio Hidalgo Amontillado Fino El Tresillo

  Aromas of freshly ground coffee accompanied by earthy notes such as sand and sandalwood. Also varnishes and lacquers. Everything comes from the wood, nothing from the wine. Who knows when it was opened. Too much bitterness in my modest opinion. Also, it is a bit short for what it is supposed to be. I never hit with this wine. Still, I insist.
  
  Aromas a café recién molido acompañado de notas terrosas como de arena y de madera tipo sándalo. También barnices y lacas. Todo viene de la madera nada del vino. A saber cuando fue abierta está botella. Se pasa de amargor en mi modesta opinión. Además se queda algo corta para lo que se supone que es. Nunca acierto con este vino. Aún así insisto.

• 2016 Bodega Mustiguillo Merseguera Finca Calvestra

  Toasted aromas of elderberry, bamboo and river stones. Some butter. Nothing glorious, nothing to ask for the claim sheet either.
  Aniseed notes are spread across the tongue.
  Better on the nose than in the mouth where it is too impetuous, too much of pastry ... Let's hope for the complexity in ten years or so.
  
  Aromas tostados de saúco, bambú y piedras de río. Algo de mantequilla. Nada glorioso, nada por lo que pedir la hoja de reclamaciones.
  Notas anisadas se reparten por la lengua.
  Mejor en nariz que en boca donde se muestra demasiado impetuoso, demasiado de pastelería ... Esperemos por la complejidad en diez años o así.

  Just a few drops.
  Flowers, honey and lead from shot.
  Creamy mouth but you have to wait ten years to get more complexity.
  
  Sólo un chorrito.
  Flores, miel y plomo de perdigones.
  Crema de boca pero hay que esperar diez años para obtener complejidad.

• NV José Maria da Fonseca Moscatel de Setúbal Alambre 20 Years

  Portugal, Península de Setúbal, Moscatel de Setúbal

  There follows this wine with amplitude of aromas of apricots and fallen leaves of a Weeping Willow. Also freshly made nougat.
  Good depth on the palate with acidity and bitterness that interrupts the initial sweetness note.
  
  Ahí sigue, amplitud de aromas a albaricoques y a hojas caídas yde Sauce Llorón. También turrón recién hecho.
  Buena profundidad al paladar con acidez y amargor que interrumpen la nota de dulzor inicial.

• NV Castarede Bas Armagnac VSOP 10 ans d'âge

  France, Southwest France, Gascony, Bas Armagnac

  Too young on the nose, decompensatedly alcoholic with an intrusive wood.
  Secondary notes of ripe banana and sandalwood. On the palate, alcohol burns on its way to the esophagus. Like a traditional Palo Cortado, notes of bitter butter and sour almonds. I always have some choice in Calvados more mature and resolute. Surely it is because I have no fucking idea but at the same time I do not stop drinking Armagnac, here and in la France.
  
  Demasiado joven en nariz, descompensadamente alcohólica con una madera intrusiva.
  Notas secundarias de plátano maduro y de madera de sándalo. Al paladar el alcohol quema por su camino hacia el hasta el esófago. Al modo de un palo cortado tradicional: con notas de mantequilla agria y de las almendras amargas. Siempre tengo alguna elección en Calvados más madura y resuelta. Seguramente es porque no tengo ni puta idea pero no paro de beber Armagnac, aquí y en Francia.
