A tasting visit at Domaine Weinbach. Recommended. They provided samples of everything requested including older bottles, some of which were still available for sale.
Some new oak (30% if I remember). Bright raspberry fruit, slightly floral smell with a bit of spice. Lightish body, good concentration of fruit in the mouth. Very pretty pinot. Although not relevant to the score, I found the €42 asked for this wine very steep.
Formerly Cuvée Ste. Catherine. Smell of citrus fruit, mostly lime. Medium weight in the mouth and plenty of acid. A little hint of salinity or something else mineral in the aftertaste. Fresh and well balanced.
Strong mineral smell, softens into peachy fruit. Lots of body and structure, rich in the mouth, slightly leaner perhaps than the Cuvée Ste. Catharine, but the better for it in my opinion. Ripping acid and a flinty mineral finish. Excellent. Deserves at least 10 years cellaring.
Rich fruit nose of berries, with an earthy component too. Off-dry taste, plenty of acid and well balanced. Weight in the mouth. I can imagine this matching well with lots of food. 21 g/l residual sugar and 6 g/l acid.
Golden colour. The primary tropical fruit has softened into creamy white fruit and the wine now has some petrol smell. Lacks a bit of acid for my taste at this sweetness level. Very nice long peachy finish.
Noticeably more complex than the 2010 or 2017 when tried together. Spicy nose with some incense and herbal smell. Petrol, rose water and very creamy mouthfeel. Unusual finish, quite musky, sweet. Nevertheless very good.
Tropical fruit nose, lychee, a bit of smoke and spice. Dense rich palate and more spice in the mouth. A lovely earthy and mineral taste in addition to the fruit. Sweet but well balanced.
Richer, softer smell than the 2017. Some petrol, restrained tropical fruit. Spicy palate with some flinty or mineral smells. Sweet fruit finish. Lovely. Although this has around 40 g/l sugar it tastes slightly drier and is more elegant than the Cuvée Laurence.

Rich petrol and honey smell, some ferns. Mouth coating viscous texture. Very long and satisfying. Dry but with just enough acid left. Very good.
