I enjoyed this a fair amount. Per the producer, this is mostly syrah that they're able to buy for cheap because syrah is not fashionable and Rose is. They also mix some cabernet, which makes for a fairly structured Rose. Tart, slightly creamy, with a lot of minerality.
Consistent with previous note. This wine is a touch simple, but easy to drink, with good chardonnay character. The mouthfeel is round, there is good golden fruit, some oak and malo.
We were not that impressed with this wine. The best you can say is that it actually does taste like pinot noir, which down at this price level is not always true. A very simple pinot. I would echo previous tasters in that I hope it develops with time. But I would not bet on that.
Served at room temperature at a tasting with Master Sommlier Joe Spellman representing the winery. The wine itself is quite fruit forward and bold. There is rich ripe fruit and soft tannin.
Served at room temperature at a tasting with Master Sommlier Joe Spellman representing the winery. This is a really fun blend of Cabernet Franc and merlot. I enjoyed it a fair amount, but I like those grapes. I felt that the structure and lean frame of the Cabernet Franc married well with the roundness of the merlot along with the general in-your-face fruit of Paso Robles.
Served at room temperature at a tasting with Master Sommlier Joe Spellman representing the winery. If this was cellar temperature, it would be much more enjoyable. This is for the modern California cab fans. Big, rich, ripe, all that and a bag of chips.
Served at room temperature at a tasting with Master Sommelier Joe Spellman representing the winery. I enjoyed this blend of syrah and cabernet. The deep and dark flavor profile also had comforting soft fruit. There is earth and forest floor present.

Inoffensive simple Sauvignon blanc. At least it is not overly grassy or grapefruity.
