Quite full and creamy, with an appealing bitter twist on the finish. Possibly a bit rich for the mackerel tartare, but good with the haddock in a creamy sauce.
Deep, compelling nose. Dark rich palate, great with both the duck and the venison. Sommelier was very enthusiastic when I suggested it, and I could see why. All enjoyed.
