Medium garnet core, pale garnet rim. Initially shows a mustiness with blows off in half an hour or so. Still a touch reticent though but starting to show dark fruit, notes of bacon. Medium/full on the palate, quite stern, dense, savoury, a touch reticent, spice, showing quite a firm backbone and perhaps a touch constricted in the finish. More interesting than loveable.
Medium/deep garnet/mahogany. Initially a little tired and stewed, this pulled itself together nicely with time in glass with florals, savoury game and underlying red fruit. Medium bodied on the palate. all savoury red fruits and florals, quite delicate and elegant with soft tannins, vibrant acidity and a very good length lightly grippy finish. Excellent, drinking well.
Deep ruby/garnet core, pale narrow rim. Showing pure dark fruit on the nose with a touch of meat and a herbal edge. Medium bodied, composed, elegant, more red-fruited than the nose, vibrant acids, very good length harmonious finish. Excellent, drinking well.
Medium garnet core, pale rim. Very bacony/savoury nose, more smoky bacon on the palate, some red fruit, savoury, almost ethereal the way it floats across the palate, lovely acidity, impressive expansive finish. Gorgeous.
Deep ruby/garnet. Nose shows pure red fruits, florals, touch of vanilla oak. Medium bodied, savoury, bacony, still with a firm tannic spine which constrains the finish a touch. Certainly could be drunk now but will get better.
Medium garnet. Quite youthful nose, dark fruit, vanilla, light herbal edge. On the palate this is dark fruited vanilla, very composed with soft tannins, balanced acidity and a good length finish.
Lovely, quite developed nose with florals, red fruit, bacon notes. Medium bodied on the palate, silky, elegant mouthfeel with red fruit, savoury bacon, soil and an excellent length peacock's tail finish. Super.
Deep ruby/purple. Youthful, pure purple fruits, black pepper, medium/full bodied, purple fruit, fine but firm tannins, bright acidity, very good length finish. Potentially excellent if a touch difficult to judge at this stage.
