D/G 10/12/12. Apple, wax, orange, earth and lemon. Mint tinged flavour, light and clean with a little ginger as well. Nice balance and clean acid line.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Smoky, lemon, rock melon and graphite. Really good fruit brightness and purity - great quality and length on display. Really liked the composure of this.
Herbal, bath salts, mango, pineapple and lime. Clean acidity with good length and a slightly rounded edge to it - really good mouthfeel. Young and very very bright. Lots of presence here, give it more time.
Kerosene, honey, wax and pear aromas. Well balanced palate, a lick of sweetness but has some tangy acidity and finishes dry. Not complex, but drinking well.
Raspberry and redcurrant, roses, smoke and slate. Good red fruited profile, clean and stylish. Very good detail for the level. Nice early drinking wine.
Blind. Blackberry, blackcurrant, briar and spicy oak. Ripe but has good savoury undertones, the power is held in place but good acidity. Textured and long. Really liked this but the price is out of control.
Redcurrant, lemon, blackcurrant and cherry. Very young, puckering and somewhat gritty tannins contribute to the mouthfeel. Has good length and all the components are there, but it badly needs 10 years to delivery on the promise.
Blueberry, spice, tea leaves, cherry and pepper on the nose. Delightfully mature, with the palate resolved and balanced but still showing excellent brightness and fruit lifted. Superb bottle of this wine.
Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
Blind. Slate, spice, blackcurrant, graphite, cassis and tobacco. Tense acidity on the palate, this feels very youthful. Superb fruit weight and profile. Amazing that this is 25 years old, this will continue to improve and I think good bottles would be peaking another 10 years from now.
Lifted floral nose, apricot, violets, roses, orange, pepper and tobacco. The palate has the same lift as well - bright and very clean fruit. Not sure what development path it is on, but it was very tasty now.
Dark coloured. Liquorice, cherry, blackberry and herbs with some redcurrant as well. Good intensity on the palate, but also shows control and structure. Really well put together wine.

Dark florals, toast, orange rind and musk stick. Bright palate with good acid lift, the fruit sits in behind and comes out more with air. Nice to try!
