Introduction

Eli initiated aquality blind tasting of 6 bottles, three flights.

Flight 1 (2 Notes)

  • 2008 Avidan Fringe Prio 88 Points

    Israel

    Red Garnett with brownish to transparent rim.
    Earthy nose with sea water, red fruits, cherries, mint, wood vanilla & bitter finish.
    fully developed;
    The mouth is fruity: flavours of prunes raspberries, cranberries & hint of strawberries bitter finish As time passed more complex flavours appeared.
    Full body with nice supporting tannins, pleasant acidity, medium-long aftertaste.
    Drink now. Over the peak, however still enjoyable

  • 2007 Carmel Mediterranean 90 Points

    Israel, Galilee, Upper Galilee

    Deep ruby
    Med+ aromas of black cherries, cranberries, roasted plums, cedar, eucalyptus, mint, Rosemarie, tobacco leaves, black tea, charcoal, chocolate, Garrigue, hyssop, white pepper;
    Developed
    Dry, high acidity, high tannins, high abv, med+ body, med+ flavors intensity consistent with the nose, herbaceous, complexed, long finish; Drink now - though can age few more years.
    Surprisingly still vivid and enjoyable with good quality.
