La Morra, Langhe, Italy

This was day 1 of our B&R trip, and we stayed and dined that this simply lovely hotel perched amid the Arborina vineyard.
We started with a brief tasting with the sommelier, and he decided to blind taste me on more "off the beaten path" wines. Some really lovely examples of everything BUT Nebbiolo.
Next we move to dinner at Osteria Arborina, truly and utterly inspired cuisine and again some spectacularly fun blind pours from the same sommelier.
Sadly I was not taking any notes, but these wines, all relatively humble, were all wonderful examples from the region.
If you ever find yourself in the region, do yourself a favor, eat at Osteria Arborina. It was truly inspired and creative food in a wonderful setting!
