Paired with Clos du Cailleret 2016. Very attractive nose, open and with lovely vineyard expression, silky and flowing palate, but I did notice a slight bitter this time.

Paired with Clos de la Pucelle 2016. Clearly the greater wine of the two, deeper and with broader shoulders, but also in need of more time to develop. It is a profound wine, and a resounding success for this frosted vintage.

Wonderfully fresh and youthful for a 2015 of this level, no age at all, lovely hint of reduction, excellent varietal typicity.

Pure and flowing, floral, supple, elegant, but with a firm core and a good charge of tannins that will keep this going for another ten years at least.

Made with 80% whole cluster. Firm and structured, this is a wine of sizeable dimensions, balancing ripe fruit with minerally energy. Needs time.

Made in a riper stye, with a good density of white stone fruits, and clearly noticeable oak that will need a few more years to integrate, but the balance seems right.

Fresh and bright, peppery nose, well managed tannins are grippy and a bit dusty and the fruit is slightly confected - there is a hint of bubble gum, the red cherry palate is on the light side; tight finish.

A new cuvée. Very similar to the village, but a bit more of everything, more stature, clean and cool, a bit of the character of a Corton-Charlemagne.

A new cuvée. Good weight and ripeness, harmonious, hint of honey, floral, lovely stuffing, very good length but lacks a bit of cut and drive for my palate.

A blend of Les Rognets (east) and Sur Charlemagne (west). A big step up from everything that came before, hint of reduction, superior depth and definition, layered and intense, powerful and concentrated but does not lack elegance, peach, mirabelle, excellent length. Great future.

An equal blend of Gamay (old vines below Puligny) and Pinot Noir (from Les Petitis Poiriers), all whole cluster, 1500 bottles produced. Deep colour, dense black fruit, peppery and earthy, firm tannins. Quite a big and extracted wine, untypical for a Côteaux Bourguignons, but I quite like it.
