Apple, lemon, pear on the light nose. Tart lemon grape palate, but the strength is the slightly salty, long, bracing finish. Not a deep wine but refreshing and would be better with complementary food.

My first ‘21 red Burg. Floral, slightly herbal (stemmy?) with red-ish, though sweet dark cherry fruited nose. Appealing. Darker fruited, with some nice earth tones, tart and dry, medium weight and finish. Perhaps a small step down from the ‘19s and ‘20s, but still an honest Burgundy, with really nice clarity. Not a ton of structure, so perhaps earlier drinking?
A nice bright sweet red fruited nose, over a palate that starts nicely, finishes with quite a bit of tannin and long acidic finish, but is missing depth and engagement in the mid-palate. Structured not unlike the ‘19 (I haven’t had the ‘20) but the gap in the middle is concerning.
Very pretty nose, heavily red fruited - cherry and blackberry, with just a hint of garrigue. Palate med+rich, savory notes melding with the blackberry. Moderate tannins and good balance, tongue tingling finish. Just a hint of tapenade. Very good, long way to go. Not quite at the level of the ‘19 but a good solid CR.
I was warned against opening so young but wanted to get a preview of the Levets in this vintage. So. Fascinating nose, red and blue fruited, country herbs, lovely. Palate darker fruited, lively, good richness. Good balance and quite a bit of tannin, soft rather than dusty. Very good.
Very engaging nose, red fruits, olives, violets. A bit more here than today’s CRs. Palate builds richness, depth, energy (and tannins) with each sip. Loads of brambly cherry, sweet herbs, olives and more floral notes. Lip smacking, generous without any over-ripeness. Wait a few years on these and then pair with any rich food. Lots of peppery olives on the long mouth filling finish. Excellent, far too young.
