France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Attractive, ripe citrus fruit as usual with PYCM. Quite noticeable that the reduction has been dialed back compared to earlier vintages, but still chiselled with a saline finish. Undeveloped.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
Micronegoce by a Chinese businessman. Rather vegetal on the nose and muted at first, but did gain some elegance after some air. Still a little too dark-fruited and lacked the floral charm of a Chambolle.
France, Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Saumur-Champigny
A little tired and oxidised, probably because it was the last pour from coravin. To the bar’s credit, they took it back. But don't think even a perfect bottle would have matched the elegant red-fruited older Rougeards that I've had, seemed too dark and alcoholic.

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault
Decent but the fruit wasn’t as precise and vibrant as a better plot / vintage would’ve been?

Deep, smoky dark red fruit. Density of 2018 but not overdone. Built to last.

2019 Rotem & Mounir Saouma Châteauneuf-du-Pape Omnia 92 Points
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Ripe, lush red fruit. Similar to the whites, southern Rhone made like a Burgundy. Approachable now.
