Introduction
I found many of these wines to be quite nice, although only a couple came close to the heights of the gorgeous 2005's. There was a common black pepper component to these wines. In fact, the image that kept coming to mind was of rolling raspberries and strawberries in ground pepper. I think the price is going up a few dollars on these wines, which might make many of them passes for me.
2007 Georges Dubœuf Beaujolais-Villages 80 Points

Bright red, candied nose. Tart, with a bitter finish. Not horrible. I just don't like beaujolais-village. 80-81

2007 Georges Dubœuf Fleurie Domaine des Quatre Vents 84 Points

Some spicy black pepper on the aromatics and palate of this wine, which was a common theme with these '07's. Pretty red fruits. Floral. The acidity is pretty harsh right now, would like to try this again in 6 months. But a decent effort. 83-85

Some strawberry notes on the aromatics. On the palate, a little tartness, but with good fruit. Acidity needs to calm down, but seems like it will round into nice form. 84-86

Raspberry nose. Nice fruit, better balanced then the previous wines. That black pepper vein comes in again. Very good. 86-87

Really enjoyed the '05 of this wine. Strawberry and respberry flavors on the nose. Slightly green under ripe flavors. Spiciness, but in the underripe way. Was better then my notes suggest, but a let down from '05. 83-84

2007 Georges Dubœuf Juliénas La Trinquée 86 Points

The aromatics are a depature from the other wines. First thought of rhubarb, but the aromas were actually closer to a funky pinot noir. Fruity on the palate, with spice. This was the first wine that there were noticable tannins. Quite nice. 85-87

Very nice aromatics. Heavier, darker red fruits then previous wines. Fairly rich, comparitively speaking, on the palate. Almost a candied fruit quality. This is a hedonistic quaffer. Quite nice. 86-88

This goes back to the beaujolais aspects on the nose. Spicy black pepper. Slightly tart. Ok. 83-85

Fairly tart. Kind of boring. Simple, with not much going on. The weakest of the three Morgons. 81-83

2007 Georges Dubœuf Moulin-à-Vent Domaine de la Tour du Bief 88 Points

This vied with the Morgon Descombes for the top wine. Dark cherries and raspberries on the nose. Rich, full mouthfeel. Layered flavors, with a surprisingly long finish. Black pepper vein as well. Very nice. 87-89
