Gloria Ferrer & Domaine Carneros

We spent Wednesday afternoon just relaxing, enjoying views of the valley sipping some sparklers with a stop at Ravenswood in between for some Zins.
Ferrer is the more relaxed atmosphere of the two, where you purchase wines by the glass, which are brought to your table with almonds and dried fruit. Cheeses and other items are also available for purchase, should you need something more substantial. Sit off to the side nearest the bushes, and the local finches & sparrows will flit about near your table.
Carneros has adequate indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor patio overlooking the gorgeous tiered gardens. The sparklers and still wines are served in flights, and there are many options for food to accompany the wines.

Pale yellow color with aromas of apple and pear, and a nice yeasty undertone. Good bead and texture on the palate, with apples dominating the palate. Finishes full and rich with nutty fruit flavors. $5/glass.
