Previous notes from Aug08: "Mostly 2006 fruit, with a barrel of 2005 thrown in for additional structure. Tasty, nice fruit and decent structure. Tannins are mild and let the fruit shine." This time around I felt the wine was much less structured, and got a lot of bitterness on the finish that was somewhat unpleasant.
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Still fairly tight. Getting some plums, and a dried flower smell on the nose. Flavors include plums and raspberries, with dusty tannins. This could probably improve greatly with another couple years of bottle time.
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Quite dark, with spicy black cherry all over the place. Tannic, but starting to integrate nicely. Another couple years should put this one above 90 points.
2006 Château Fortia Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 83 Points
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Pale gold in color, sweet nose of honeysuckle, following to the palate. Some peach flavors as well, quite sweet.

2006 Domaine Pierre Usseglio & Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape 89 Points
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Getting some nice black licorice, cherry pie, and some asian spices. Tasty, but still not on par with my expectations of a GOOD CdP.
