Instead of the wines seeming flat on a plane they were all stunning with the Burgs head and shoulders above the Lynch Bages.

doughy nose with a little mineral, fine if 'sharp' mousse. Soft mouth feel but little of interest.

NV Krug Champagne Brut Grande Cuvée 93 Points

This is more like it, subtle power and intensity. Nutty nose, yeasty, faintest hint of orange zest. Palate is vibrant; zesty, a mid palate stone and that orange hint again. Intense long finish.

Mineraly nose. Hints of orchard fruit, even a bit of cheese and butter. Palate is a little austere and tight but 'get' the terrior. Good lasting finish.

Finally can start to see the attaraction! Don't know where to start. Nose has some mushroom, palate is still clean with some stewed rasberries. Lovely acidity and good finish.

Stinky nose but also sweet fruit. Palate still has a lot of structure; blackcurrant. Sweet finish.
