Tasted Friday, June 5, 2009 by Benj with 397 views
A follow-up to the first tasting I hosted here in February. Another success, it seems. The first 6 tasted blind, the Coutet not.
Prize bottle of Champagne went to Pippa for identifying both the high end bottle and the non-Bordeaux bottle.
2006 Château Manoir la Borie Blanc 82 Points
France, Bordeaux, Entre-Deux-Mers
Perfectly drinkable, but uninspiring. Citrus / grapefruit notes, high acid, better with food.

2007 Château Rieussec R 87 Points
France, Bordeaux
Nose of melon, honey, cream, slight spiciness, touches of the tropical and vegetal. Interesting. A little oak influence? Warm, well-balanced, med+ acid, med finish.
