I was absolutely stunned by the performance of this wine given the scattered results of the 1975 vintage in general. Dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout with no bricking whatsoever (shock). Nose of dried herbs, a bit of ash, mixed florals, mixed dark fruits and a bit of white pepper. Flavors of red berries, red cherries and a bit of raspberry. Medium to bright acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Drink now, perhaps can even be held a bit. Quite frankly it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this wine wasn't a fraud/fake. No way it should have performed like this. It performed more like a mid to late 80s Bordeaux. I am suspect.
