Flight 2 (1 Note)

  • 1992 Remoissenet Père et Fils Le Montrachet

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Montrachet Grand Cru

This bottle evolved remarkebly: when just opened it was fresh and expressive. Then, when poored, it seemed oxydized so I wrote it off and went to the next glass. So I had my glass virtually untouched and had it there for some time. After 10 minutes or so, I smelled it again and it had evolved beautifully. I guess we even had it as good as it could have been, because on went the tasting of many other bottles Le Montrachet. Hence, no rating. But I would easily give it 92+ points as we had it.

Flight 3 (1 Note)

  • 1988 Domaine Ramonet Montrachet 99 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Montrachet Grand Cru

The only reason I award this wine "only" 99 points is that we had so many other bottles worth 100 points. As one participant said: "these wines ask for a new scale".
