1/13/2024 - PMTinfv Likes this wine: 94 pointsDecanted and let breath for four hours. Big wine with a seductively soft mouthfeel. Aroma of fennel, some chocolate and coconut with flavors of plum, cranberry, and dark fruits. Excellent finish. Great drinking spot now with a decant and long breath, but has years of cellaring to go. I’ll likely hit my last bottle inside of the next 3-4 years. |

12/5/2023 - stefanvdwalt Likes this wine: 88 pointsNose: forest after fresh rain---beautiful, beautiful oak!, bright bold berryful body, slightly dry, drawn-out, rich, tannic exit. This one can be aged, or be drunk right away. A firm favorite! |

11/19/2023 - Ex-Ray Likes this wine: 92 pointsTenth time tasted since 2013, and last bottle. Very similar to the old Silver Oak "Alexander Valley" wines of the Justin Meyer era in the '70's. Typical sweet American oak, cassis and black cherry nose, with flavors to match. Soft, round, medium-full body, nicely balanced. Long, sweet aftertaste. There is some amber at the edges now, it's more translucent, and the fruit starts to fade after a couple of hours. Slipping past its prime, definitely time to drink up. |

Good, slightly tart acidity, grippy tannins, medium finish. Light-med body. This bottle drinks pretty young. Overall, this was a very nice cab in more of a classic style. I was gifted half of a bottle so I'm not giving it a score. |

12/10/2022 - PMTinfv Likes this wine: 92 pointsDelicious! Surprisingly delicate…soft and elegant; not a big Napa cab…don’t pair with a heavy steak type meal. In a great drinking window now, but I would let it go more than 5-7 years. Dark chocolate and red fruit nose with raspberry, black, and a little vanilla on the palate. If the finish was a little longer, an easy 93-94…let’s see how it develops over the net several years! |

11/29/2022 - Ex-Ray Likes this wine: 94 pointsAt a group lunch. Ruby-garnet, partly translucent, touch of amber edge. Very pronounced aroma of cassis and sweet American oak, just like the old Silver Oaks of the 70's and 80's, but without the former pronounced herbal component. Medium-full body, soft and round, mostly cassis flavors. Fruit starts to fade on the late palate, more so after several hours, and tannin becomes more prominent. Excellent, but best to drink soon and to serve soon after opening and over just 2-3 hours. |
