2/8/2021 - La Cave d'Argent wrote: 89 pointsSourced from the esteemed Dionysus Vineyard, this straw-colored wine offers aromas and flavors of stone and tropical fruits, citrus, honey and pine nuts. Light-bodied, freshly acidic, unoaked and with a very light touch of sweetness, it stays solid on the middle palate and throws no heat from its paltry 12.5% alcohol. Medium in length and crisp on the back end, this is a delightful Riesling that would be an excellent partner to Asian food. Drink now-2023. |

5/6/2010 - dratwood wrote: 89 pointsThis is a very solid, full bodied, hearty, nicely complex blend with good dark fruit, spice, cherry, earth. Very nice nose and delightfully lingering finish. I liked it a lot and a great value from a steady vintner in the Spokane area. Their signature facility for which this wine is names overlooks a beautiful setting of the Spokane River. Sadly, it burned last summer, so this perhaps this should be called Smoke House Red hereafter! |

Black cherries, tart cherries, plum, earth, and herbs on the palate. Lots of fruit, but comes across fairly savory. Nice acidity, grippy tannins, med-long finish. Overall, this was a tasty and well-balanced bottle. I wish I had another bottle. |

2005 Arbor Crest Sauvignon Blanc Bacchus VineyardColumbia Valley more |
2/10/2009 - icrworldnu wrote: 88 pointsThe Sauvignon Blanc is a product produced solely from the Bacchus Vineyard in the Columbia Valley. The deep sandy soils and mature vines allow the grapes to yield polished flavors that are fresh and lively with enticing grapefruit, pineapple and spicy characters that unfold nicely on the smooth finish. To preserve the varietal qualities of Sauvignon Blanc, this wine did not undergo malolactic fermentation or spend time in oak. The melon ball-scented Sauvignon Blanc, an excellent value, is medium-bodied, oily-textured, and seamless. Ripe pears, nuts, and honeydew melons are found in its expressive character. Tart and tangy, with grapefruit peel and green pear flavors, finishing with some suppleness. |
