8/30/2016 - Xavier Auerbach wrote: 88 pointsFrom a single plot of 12.5ha with gneiss, quartz and schist soils, fermented in stainless steel, aged sur lie for 6 months, 12% ABV. I am in two minds about this wine. From a structural perspective, I really like it. The acidity is crisp, the minerality is incisive and the salinity impressively intense. The aromas and flavours are correct and pure (white flowers, citrus and a whiff of tropical fruit, green herbs), but I feel there is a slight lack of precision on the nose and of length on the finish. Overall quite satisfactory however. |

4/13/2023 - Doc Malvern Does not like this wine: 86 pointsThis wine has lots of fruit - apple, melon, lemon, smoky pear, with a petrol hint on the nose. But it’s also quite astringent, with a little sourness, and rather short. |

2013 [cox]* Colombard Côtes de Gascognemore |
3/18/2016 - Lease on Life Likes this wine: 88 pointsThis is the first I ever have had a Colombard unblended. The aromatics were strong and perfumed the air with just unscrewing the cap. Reminiscent to walking by a cider press. The flavor was lively of ripe juicy yellow apples. Good balance of acidity with moderate alcohol made this white pair well with a sausage and pepperoni pizza. Like a hard cider but the floral notes of wine persisting on the finish reminds of a wine indeed. |

1/6/2011 - CasaHernandez wrote: NRDrank over two days. I did not enjoy this wine at all, not even for the price. Tasted a little bland, and even a tiny bit bitter the first day. Second day, just more bitter. It had very little body on either day, somewhat thin, nearly no fruit, it was neither dry nor full bodied. Really, it's kind of sad that I can describe so much about a wine that I didn't like. I do not recommend this wine to anyone. |

A grapey edge to the nose, with light cherry and spice notes. In the mouth, pleasant and smooth, with good drinkability, with a pretty floral note that's added to the simple fruit flavors. B |

Ultra bright red cherry with crunchy, minerally finish. Ripe with good textures that seem to bring this together into near balance already in barrel. 89-91 point potential. |

So much black fruit here is already wonderfully finessed and beautifully textured. Sit down tasting. Barrel assemblage. Clear firmness stands hand-in-hand with the ripe black fruit and subtle spice to give this a big, muscular combination that will reward patience, from 2030, 94-95 point potential. |

So much lush black fruit with roasted meat that comes across as near sweet for now but I know that will fade quickly into the background and morph into wonderful richness. Long finish ends with excellent depth and hints of emerging power, hints of nuance that will surely emerge. Very good 93-94 point potential. |

2020 00 Wines Clos de la RocheClos de la Roche Grand Cru Pinot Noir more |
9/29/2023 - Eric Guido Likes this wine: NRThe 2020 Clos de la Roche is youthfully understated, with a nuanced blend of cinnamon sticks and rosehips. Soothingly round and pure in style, this boasts masses of tart red berry fruits complicated by savory herbs, all offset by a twang of sour citrus. It finishes long and staining but only lightly structured, leaving a cheek-puckering concentration and hints of licorice. |

This included grapes from both Le Corton and en Charlemagne for the first time. Floral, minty, spiced with so much orchard fruit. Good stuffing, but lacking the depth of the 2022 just tasting because this 2023 is still under formation, but I think it has even greater potential. Lots here to enjoy once this becomes a finished wine. |

2020 00 Wines Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Ile des VergelessesPinot Noir more |
9/29/2023 - Eric Guido Likes this wine: NRThe 2020 Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru Ile des Vergelesses is remarkably pretty and perfumed with vivid strawberries complicated by savory herbs. It’s round and lifted in style with crunchy red berry fruits and a subtle mineral staining that slowly builds. The 2020 is long and potent, with a gentle tug of fine tannins and a licorice tinge that slowly fades. Already a pleasure to taste, this should be even better in two to three years time. |

2014 100 Tropez Côtes de Provence RoséRosé Blend more |
8/18/2015 - Gabriel Geller Likes this wine: 91 pointsNow this rosé is right up my alley! What a beauty! Light pink in color, with on the nose freshly picked strawberries, cherries, minerals and roses. Light in body and very lively, with much of the same on the palate as well as notes of fresh ripe peaches and grapefruit with stoney minerals and notes of zesty red plums with bracing acidity and a very long and refreshing finish. One of the very best rosés I've tasted this year, blew me away. 12.5% Abv. |
