Bright cherry and plum fruit nose, some matchstick/sulfur, and black licorice. The palate starts off with vanilla and big plum and red fruit. Starts off large and drops off quickly after swallowed, that said it leaves a lot of flavor behind and feels almost barely sweet. Medium acidity, light tannins. This is really easy to drink. Overall a very nice, soft and easy everyday red.

Simple, easy drinking cab. Nice berries on the nose with a light-bodied berry and oak attack on the palate. Simple but good. Short finish. Great for the 10$ I paid for it.

The nose is all dark fruits, plums, some blackberry. Light to medium bodied. Grapes, plums, blackberries. Just fruit, maybe a bit warm from a touch of oak but not much more. Very short finish. Perfectly acceptable wine, but nothing more.

I'm impressed, honestly, as this wine is pretty damn good at less than $10. A touch of RS adds some weight to the palate with good apple and herbal notes and also helps extend the finish. There is some abrasiveness to the finish where the acidity comes together with the flavors, but the acidity levels are low so this isn't a huge issue. I give this an 85 points and call this a win at this price point. While not greatly impressed by the wine, considering the price point I would say this is good stuff. It's easy to hate on mass-produced wine and I was looking for something to hate, and I didn't find anything, rather, it's actually quite good.

On the nose, funky forest floor with red fruit, dried cranberries, potpourri and roses. In the mouth, wonderful texture, red fruit, spice. As it enters the finish it transitions into tart, sour flavors or cranberry and grapefruit with a long expression of both fruit and acidity. Grippy tannins are present and well integrated with the tart flavors, going almost green tasting, in a good way. Long finish with this expression of fruit and acidity.

I've had this bottling on two occasions, once at a tasting where I felt it was the best in the line-up of Oregon wines poured that night. The second time a friend and I killed a bottle together at his house and was good to the last drop. This wine has a spicy note alongside the dark red pinot fruit in this wine, showing terroir of the region. It's been a while since I had it, so sorry for the poor notes, I just remember scoring it both times I tasted it, 92 at the tasting and 91 with my friend. I bought some to sit in for a while, if that gives you an idea. This is some damn fine OPN.

Didn't keep great mental notes, but thought about this wine on scale. Loads of acidity, very delicious, nice citrus acids left that linger on the finish. Got better as it warmed up like the previous taster said. Delicious wine, not a bad qpr either.

Served at cellar temp, PnP. Simple nose, some riesling fruit and apple and something a bit greener, maybe kiwi but very light. Nice feel on the palate, the bubbles provide nice lift to the apple flavors, the bubbles help provide a crushed pill finish. Overall simple but delicious and refreshing. On par with other sparkling rieslings I have had but more balanced.

I'm not typically a fan of this grape so I was really interested to see it done by this region, lighter, fruitier and with better acidity than other zins I've had. I still can't say I'm a huge fan of this grape but prefer this one to most others, the acidity really carries the fruit through to a decent finish that pairs well with food. (obviously) A great bargain at $8, technically this is great little bottle of wine.

Tasty stuff, can't remember my notes right off hand, but I was happy enough with this. Nice flavors, green fruit mainly, there are some hollow spots on the transition into the finish but it's nice enough stuff. Drank in a 4-bottle blind 2008 Oregon Pinot Noir tasting and this got 3rd.

Ok, this a nice, fruity, easy Pinot Noir. Balanced enough for what it is. That said it's lacking in body and doesn't come across like an Oregon Pinot in flavor. Pretty boring. It does go down easy though and held up well in the fridge for 2 nights. Had this beside the Erath 2008 and the Duck Pond 2008 OPNs, the Erath was the clear winner, this came in second.

Smells like apple juice in a stainless steel tank. Pretty straight forward. Crisp apple flavors tending more towards granny smith. Also some sweeter flavor, reminding me a bit of pineapple and kiwi as well. Easy to drink. Some sweetness does linger on the finish, which is nice. This is pretty nice for the price, not amazing but completely unoffensive.

I wish I had another bottle to post a better review, rather I just wanted to say I really, really enjoyed this wine. Having spent some time tasting through the 2013 dry German Rieslings I thought this wine was absolutely delicious and surprisingly good for the price. If I score another bottle somewhere I will post another note.

Does this have Viognier in it? This wine has a large floral component going on in the nose along with the great lemon/lemon zest/green melon this wine typically carries. The palate starts off some with some floral notes but turns sharply acidic and sour rather quickly. Drinking this wine tastes similar to what I imagine biting into a lemon, peel and all, would be like. Sour from the lemon but also some off-putting tartness from the peel as well. Nice run-out on the finish leaving sour lemon for 10-15 seconds. Due to the acid in this wine I would say this would be a perfect pairing for many different styles of food. I really like this and for the money it is a great value. I enjoyed this better chilled than once it got to room temp, you can sense the alcohol quite a bit once it heats up. This wine is so sharp chilling it down did little to diminish it's flavors.

More tropical fruit than I remember, usually this reminds me of citrus fruits but the flavors on both nose and palate initially say mango and tangerine. The acids that rise up in the finish however, wow. Powerful stuff. My acid-loving friend tasted this and said this is on the upper end of what he can handle for high-acid wines. In that sense, it's inline with what I remember from this wine. I'd guess at a little bit of RS as well. I give it 85 points due to the integration, it just isn't there yet. However if you need a super high acid wine to cut whatever food you're serving.... look no further.

This still has that strong acidic edge that makes it so pleasant but something is going on here. A year bottle age not doing this wine so well, maybe? Still delicious, just seems off compared to the usually well built albarinos Abacela typically makes. My only advice is to chill this one down, serving it warm shows much more alcohol and does little to change the flavor.

Lemon-y tart with great fruit and structure and a nice palate-quenching finish. I really enjoyed the 06' and thought this was on par, who knows how long the bottle was open when I tried it at the winery. I thought it was delicious. Very enjoyable. Abacela does this grape very well and I think 07' is another winner for them.

The nose shows dark old blackberries, some stems, dirt road, oak and light plummy notes. The palate starts off with dark plums and pepper, some blackberries and oak follow in the mid-palate, balanced and integrated structure picks up nicely heading into the finish. Fruit flavors hang with it for a 10 second finish. Nice intensity throughout on this wine, somewhere in the middle, and in a place where it drinks well on it's own and with a meal, this matched my pizza well and continued to drink nicely after. Very nice wine overall, not complex but everything is delicious, the flavors and structure show nice integration at this point.

Rich dark fruit nose, sun-dried tomato, dark chocolate and cedar. Some hints of old leaves in there too. Smells pretty good. Medium-to-full bodied. Ripe berry flavors, some plum fruit, dark chocloate, great acidity, relaxed, late-hitting tannin. Decently balanced, with a relaxed approach that doesn't overpower your meal. Fantastic with my ribeye steak. Barely showing age, but still rather primary. Drinking well now but will get more interesting as time goes on. 89+

Open 6 hours: Chalky bright red berries on the nose with hints of cocoa powder. Almost Barbera-like. Once tasted this was a huge letdown, near water-like mouthfeel showing little tart red berries and dry chalky soil and not much else. Dies quickly after the mid-palate transition, finish leaves only tart acids. Good food wine? The wife went 77 points, I am going 82. EDIT: Bumped it up 1 point, it showed better on day 2. More toned and relaxed then day 1, with a little more weight.

Note on day 2, this was fairly uninteresting the first night. The nose now shows old grapes, cherry liquor, and old, almost rotten strawberries. It honestly doesn't smell particularly good. The palate medium-bodied, bright acids pair with dark cherries, plums, tobacco leaves. Tannins are light at this point. Finish is short. Overall, it's OK wine, has some nice character and is showing a bit of age, but isnt showing it particularly well. A decent quaffer and nothing more.

Dark in the glass, but I'm able to see through it when I put it to light. Nice, easy drinking Syrah. I'm not getting the high acidity the previous taster spoke of, the acid here seems rather balanced to the rest of the fruit, if a bit above the fruit but still balanced enough. Black and blue fruits, a touch of chocolate in places and I agree with an herbal note on both nose and palate. Pop and poured, other than a bit of sourness on the finish this is some nice, simple Syrah. The more I am drinking it the more the acidity is really getting in here, but it's a refreshing acidity. The tannins are light and play way late on the palate after the fruit finishes up. Nice stuff. EDIT: the warmer this gets the better the body of the wine becomes, it was in the car overnight (yes I'm drinking in the morning, I work nights) and now at room temp the body on this is quite nice. Sticking with 86 points but this is nice wine for $15.
