These wines used to be riddled with bret, but now they are actually quite nice. They need at least 30 mins of air to stabilize but that uncovers some brambly red fruit, cranberry, and licourice-y notes. It pours a bit cloudy, it's light and inoffensive. Definitely a natty one so choose your audience wisely.

Not showing any tertiary notes. A little bretty, red berries, decent balance for what it is. A nice aperitif.

This is quite nice with ripe apples, lemon, minerals, and white flowers on the nose. Good acidity with lemon zest, more apple, and minerals on the palate. Nice finish. Lovely wine that’s quite ripe but well balanced.

Obviously obscenely natty wine. Fizzy, either finished alcoholic fermentation or malolactic fermentation in bottle, perhaps both. Generically natty fruit, fairly volatile, just really without refinement, distinction, or really telling the drinker anything other than the winemaker was wedded to the insane philosophy of natural wine that is more worried about slavish devotion to said philosophy, than making something that people (who do not even necessarily seek out commercial wines) will enjoy.

12.5% Wild perfumed nose of assorted red fruits, dry flowers, sour cherry, farmyard funk, deep stoney minerality, hint of reductive smokiness and wild spicy herbs.

Silky, light, juicy and supple. It is actually quite clean with more savoury note at the end of finish. So aromatic and easy drinking.

Attractively funky herbal and fruity nose, fresh and pretty. Pepper. Weirdly has a smell reminiscent of mature burgundy.
Lovely fresh fruit on the palate. Light. Nice gentle intensity on the slightly bitter finish. Deliciously gluggable.

I believe this is the vintage where Tony first took over the winery. Tastes more approachable and tamed than the previous vintages that really tasted like ass. This shows grape character to the fullest with no faults to mention. Bright, zippy, savoury. Savage style that I’d love to see in the future.

Piercing acidity, lemon pith, good amount of minerality. Tiny hint of malo, very well integrated. Had similar Chardonnay from the Jura (not ones that shoot for the more oxidative feel, rather those that exhibit lots of VA and so on) but none that have felt as balanced.

On the nose, orange zest, chalky, very delicate red berries, something meaty, slight reduction.
The palate is light, acid in check. Herbaceous, bitter, red berries. Short on the finish. Maybe a bit over the hill?
This wine is all over the place: for a minute, it is verging on mousiness, then all out bitterness and acidity, and all of a sudden, with a bit of air, it gains more body.

Jura study (Chicago, IL): From magnum. No flaws; just really bad winemaking. Smells and tastes like it was fermented stems, not grapes. Celery salt and slightly spritzy, and mercifully(!) watery.

Fragrant and quite complex nose with citrus notes, minerals, apples, and a tiny bit of VA. High acidity on the palate with more lemon notes, lime, crushed rocks, grapes, and green apples. Nice finish. Really lovely wine, this will only get better with age, but no shame to drink now. 93-94+

Very harmonious bouquet, quite oxidised like a sherry with fruity and salty elements. Very present acidity but balanced. On the palate it feels light yet intese with oyster shells, lemon zest, nuts and hints of exotic fruits. Quite long finish and nowhere close to being done. Drink or keep.

Pretty nose with lots of green and yellow fruit, apples, minerals, slightly waxy, and lemon flavors. High acidity with more lemon, lime, green apples, and chalky notes on the palate. Nice finish. Really lovely wine, probably best to wait another 5 years or so, though… 93-94+

Golden yellow color, cloudy. Mineral, citrusy, a little VA?, feels like no or only partly malo. Highly acidic, light, some bitterness. Felt like it lacked body and complexity. Kind off prototype vin nature. Was disappointed to be honest.

Lots of foam. More like a beer. Fruity nose with some yeast. Simple but pleasant, low acid red and purple berry fruit on the palate. I would categorize it as fairly dry for a sparkling. Fruity but not sweet.

Beautiful expression of Savagnin. Crushed ripe fruit aromas captured in a clean and tense wine that tastes of candied apple and dried fruit. Searing acidity balanced with rich fruit. Wonderful.

Ready to drink now but wil get better for at least 3 more years
