Very elegant non-spoofed Cab, with plenty of ripe fruit (but not overripe) showing some slight herbal character. A touch of oak to give a hint of spice and with good balancing acidity. Lots of tannic grip but drinking very well now. No need to cellar, but a couple years to allow the tannins to soften might be in order. Enough depth to let this develop for 10 - 15 years. |

7/10/2017 - Matt@5453 Likes this wine: 92 pointsDecanted an hour prior to consuming. Strong dark sweet smelling fruits, coffee grounds and blackberries. The palate was medium to full bodied with a delicious core of cassis, dark chocolate and black olive with a medium to long finish delivering a drying / savoury tannin profile. Cellaring time I have no doubt will see this wine go 10+ years maybe even longer. I really enjoyed this. |

Decent depth and concentration with lots of flavor but the overall impression is relatively light bodied for Cab. No overt wood, char, vanilla, or cocoa notes that I could discern - clean and precise. Probably a better food wine but is enjoyable on its own as well. Very high quality red for the $17 I paid. So much win. |
