This is a thick, heavy bodied wine that got better and more intriguing as the night went on. Nice tannic kick, slight acidity, but overall everything was in very nice balance. Would have scored higher if not for some heat that was evident on the nose and palate (the heat did dissipate some after a couple hours so decanting would have helped), but still a very well made wine. |
