Prunes, tart cherries and white pepper on the palate. More dark fruit and complexity as it took on air in the glass. A lot of grip - I've never used that word before in a note, but this wine coated and held the palate. Very complex, with a medium-long finish. Paired with a spicy dish. The food was somewhat of a disappointment, we need to work on the spices. The wine was terrific, made up for the food let-down. |
