W_Chardonnay - Napa. #2; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-golden; NOSE-a baked apple component; a little burnt cedar; a little hint of Creamsicle on the back-end as well; PALATE-not too much oak and nice acidity on the back-end; some oak and Pear Brulee; apple sauce & cinnamon; a little flat and a hair boring on the finish, but not bad; reminds me of many $12 Chards; lacks character & second tier flavors; GV-86+ 86+ points |

Meritage - Washington. #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-big dark fruit nose (blackberry; black currant); a little black pepper and some gamey action on the 2nd tier flavors underneath the dark fruit; PALATE-big fruit; this is a very tricky bottle; has seductive characteristics; big dark blackberry jam on the initial attack; a little oak on the mid-palate; very creamy; Cedar box component; a hint of tobacco, then goes into a very long and silky cherry on the back-end; borders on being overdone, but is a very solid bottle; Asian spice on the back-end; the tobacco lingers on the long and juicy finish; drinking well now (w/ a nice decant), but has the potential to last 7-15 years easily; has the big fruit, but has the balance and elegance of a Bordeaux; GV-91+ 91+ points |

Cotes du Rhone Rouge - Rhone. #3; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-a little cherry & strawberry action; a little charcoal as well; PALATE-good tannin structure on the back-end; little hints of creaminess; I like the roundness of them mouthfeel, but this wine disappears quickly (Caspar the Friendly Ghost); a little hot on the attack; very young; but this wine is not good; it's off balance; lacks structure and disappears quickly; GV-71 71 points |
