However, in this wine, it's more Burgundy than Barolo, which is totally okay – but I miss some of the roses, tar, and the deliciously sharp tannins. Volcanic-soil with red fruit and tart cherries. Delicious acidity and a relatively long, strawberry finish. |

Heavier side of medium body, moderated fruit and tannins with good acidity that helps with structure. I expect it will show better with food including antipasti. |

A bit of peach, grass and minerals in the nose, with crisp lime/grapefruit acidity and more minerals in the taste. On the light side, its tanginess is well-suited to Mediterranean seafood dishes. Not much fruit at this point, so I would drink it up soon. A bit pricey for what you get. |

Either way this is very adaptable to food much in the way certain Chenin Blanc can be. This actually has a decent amount in common with a Chinon or Saumur. It doesn't reach the levels of the Cottanera White, but it shouldn't for a little more than half the price. Very nice wine that works for all seasons. |
