I didn't initially get any spice/earth but over time some pepper and slate appeared on the finish. Seems to have the acidity and tannins to age. Definite upside potential. At this stage I'd recommend a healthy decant or just hold a year or more. |

I have to say that at the beginning and during dinner the Ledge was more complex than the Saxum. However it started to fall off and change in the wrong direction after about 3 hours. Not in a horrible way but started to get a little flabby. The Saxum on the other hand was improving. Still a fantastic wine just doesn't need long decant, open and enjoy. |

The palate is open and inviting with peppery notes, raspberry preserves, incense — it’s finely grained spice quality stands out. Texturally it’s polished, with med+/high but very ripe tannins. Nice sense of freshness without losing its structure. Not a tightly knit structure but it’s definitely there. |

6/9/2023 - OaktownRush Likes this wine: NRHighly aromatic nose that definitely reads Paso — ripe berries, high-toned magic marker, baking spice, biscotti, soil, crushed stones. Gives off some heat on the nose but drinks a little cooler with high-acid that keeps the palate in check. Blue fruit that sort of gives way to ripe preserved red berries framed with crushed stones. It’s sort of lithe and direct on the palate, not hyper expansive, but in a good way that makes this wine feel like it’s not trying to overwhelm you. Tannins have zero astringency but they’re ripe and give the wine some structure. There’s a nice sense of focus and tidiness for a wine that registers above 15.5. |

I usually use QPV for Quality/Price/Value.) So well balanced and so flavorful! And so young! I would suggest this is going to be stunning with a few more years in the bottle! Must try to get more!! |
