12/31/2023 - CrunchyFrog Likes this wine: 90 pointsPurchased shortly after release, stored since in GE Profiler wine fridge. Just opened New Years Eve ‘23 and has a fruity, only slightly tart, but mostly mellow quality about it, with grapefruit, lemon, and peach notes. Solidly yellow color, not unlike a glass of Corona Beer. Floral notes. Pleasant texture. Could’ve held out a couple more years even, but very drinkable now. Gassier’s whites tend to benefit from longer than expected storage. |

4/21/2019 - Mossrose wrote: 92 pointsA very refreshing, juicy, acidic, citrusy, delicious, and richly textured white wine made from vineyards along the western border of the Rhone River delta. Strikingly shows how 70% Sauvignon Blanc with Grenache Blanc from this appellation is competitive with wines from the Loire Valley, New Zealand, and South Africa, despite the Sauvignon being not even an approved grape varietal. Also, at around $12, a superb value. |

9/30/2015 - Mossrose wrote: 92 pointsWe regularly try any Rhone white wine we can get, but most end up on cutting floor of wines that never get included in our lives. The highest compliment we can pay to this wine, however, is that it is the closest to Riesling we have ever tasted in a Rhone white. While never mistakable for Riesling, it has higher acidity, delicious fruit, a caressing texture, and broad food compatibility. Definitely makes our list of wines to buy. |

12/16/2015 - Mossrose wrote: 93 pointsHas a supremely enjoyable nose. So highly perfumed, concentrated, and complex, you just want to keep on smelling it. Brightly acidic, very refreshing, and crisp entering the mouth. The swallow endearingly blossoms into a beautifully caressing texture. Finishes lip smackingly delicious and dry. |

Very tasty up front, with enjoyable and mouth filling fruit and texture. Lovely spike of acidity on the swallow. At $15, a definite stock up, drink anytime wine. |

7/7/2018 - Mossrose wrote: 91 pointsThis $15 wine, made from 70% Grenache Blanc and 30% Sauvignon Blanc, was knockout good when released. The grapes come from the southernmost appellation in the Rhone River Valley that includes land bordering on the Mediterranean Sea and the river delta. But it has to be marketed as lowly Vin de France Blanc because Sauvignon Blanc is not among the 12 or so grape varietals permitted. We opened this as a checkup bottle to see how well it is holding up at 6 years. While still enjoyable, brightly acidic, and fruity, it has somewhat less drive, intensity, and texture than the bottles we consumed earlier. |

11/1/2023 - Mcohen60 Likes this wine: 92 pointsLast bottle and was afraid, based on the published drinking window and some of the reviews, of being underwhelmed. However the wine was alive and kicking and had lots of fruit, character, and a beautiful finish! This wine was by no means over the hill! |

10/28/2023 - Wamrod wrote: 88 pointsMedium gold in the glass. I agree with others assessment of the nose, with beeswax, fragrant oils, and melon being prominent. On the palate, the fruit is not as strong as it once was, perhaps unsurprisingly, due to the age. These should be drunk by now, it's not hanging around. |
