Pale yellow/gold. Attractive but restrained floral and honey nose. Viscous, hits the palette with a bit of a punch. Acids are tamed but crisp enough to still work. Mid-palette fruits more intense than complex, but very pleasurable, with a nice clean finish. Drink this year. Wants food. Three nights later: Wrong again. It IMPROVED over the 3 days in a half-drunk bottle. More forthcoming nose, Smoother back palette, at least as rich, even a bit more complexity. Before it opens it up it is hot and tight. The nose shows cherry, rhubarb, and a hint of spice. The palate comes across to start with a bit of chocolate and then has cherry, strawberry, red fruit, and some spice. On the first day closed down and earthy. The second day it blossomed dark red fruit with a dusty and slightly sharp finish. Nice mouth feel and enjoyable to drink on the second day.
