Drank with turkey Chili and cornbread. Nice spice and average fruit and held up nicely to the spicy chili.

Good fruit forward wine, cherries. Not too complicated, not a long finish. I did not let this aerate enough, will with the next bottle. I think it would have brought the fruit more into focus. Not bad for the price. Not sure if I will buy more, there are many Shiraz available around this price point.

Drank from 375ml. A deep orangey brown colour. Nose was full of orange peel with some apricot and caramel with some slight petrol aromas. The palate was not too sweet with a rather syrupy and broad, luxurious mouthfeel. Flavours of peach, apricots and creme brûlée came to the fore. The finish was slightly short.

Wine was past its prime but given some time with air it was nice drinking. Dark fruit and a port nose.

still fruity, big and bolld.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Nice marmalade, orange peel nose with marmalade and spicy flavors that only just avoid being cloying. Last bottle.

Really good wine. Very deep gold (pee) colour, Lucious, deep, honeyed botyrtis nose. Similar on palate, lots of sweet orange marmalade citrus fruit. Well balanced with nice orange marmalade acidity. Long finish. This is in a perfect place. Delicious wine for the tariff.

My bottles say Beresford Reserve by Step Rd Winery with a different label than shown here. At this point, the wine is fine, displaying a honeyed, nectar nose with Botrytised notes. Flavors of honey, orange marmalade, sweet, smoky botrytis and a finish that continues for several minutes. Perhaps displays hints of cough syrup from a high ester level in the wine

Deep, opaque purple with a sweet, heady nose of brambles black fruit. Didn't find much in the way of oaky tannins, but found this wine rich and jammy, not off-puttingly sweet, with a nice backbone of spice. Great QPR in my book. Should hold well for a few years at least.

Subdued fruit, very very oaky - I wonder if they used oak chips. Just OK. Used most of the bottle as a short rib braise.

My bottles are actually labeled Beresford Reseve. Apricot nose rises from the glass with hints of orange peel, the wine has well integrated sweetness framed by apricot, orange peel and marmalade notes. Long finish but perhaps just a tad of alcoholic heat on the finish.

There is something not quite right here, though the wine has grown on me a little bit.

The nose is unusual, I can buy the "burnt rubber" noted below, I was going to say "melted battery" myself (I seemed to always leave batteries for my CD player in my backpack in middle school, only to have 'em leak battery innards all over the place). I'm usually a big fan off a wine's flavors/aromas being focused on things other than fruit, but this feels off somehow.

I could be down with the nose if the palate offered me something, but it doesn't. Just a little alcohol heat mixed with sharp acid. Metallic finish. Fruit gone. Not fun.

This stuff just feels turned and past peak. After all, I am drinking it 5.5 yrs after harvest right now.

Inviting aromas of blackberry, spicy oak and hints of burnt rubber. Medium bodied, dry with mild tannins and flavors of cherry, blackberry a hint of pepper and evident oak influence. There is some coffee lingering on the finish, but also some heat (retail $12.99)

Nose: dark chocolate, blackberry - taste: Soft red fruits, blackberry again. Overall it is fruity but with a strong herbal finish. Nice to drink and not as sweet as many other Australian wines.
