Great mix of fruit and spice with the spice continuing through the finish. Fun to try this one off Bedrock take on Montafi Ranch fruit.

2012 Turley Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard

Paso Robles more

Just a wonderful wine. Showing some of its more savory notes with flavors of licorice and leather to complement the dark fruit characteristics. Zin's spicy elements are there but this is no fruit bomb with a hint of spice. This is truly showing as an amazingly complex wine.

2013 Carlisle Two Acres

Russian River Valley Red Rhone Blend more

Delcious, rich, soft, very round, full-bodied dark red fruit with tar and pencil lead flavors, excellent structure, very integrated, difficult to identify the dominant varietal, maybe combo of Grenache and Mouverdre, long finish, best Two Acres that I've tasted

2013 Turley Zinfandel Judge Bell

Amador County more

This heavily-extracted, opaque crimson wine is somehow able to show more finesse than power. Dark bramble fruits, licorice, smoked meat and black pepper are framed with fresh acidity and silky-textured tannins. Amazingly, the wine's 16.2% alcohol is fully integrated and shows no heat. Dense on the mid-palate and finishing long, this is an impressive offering which should show well for several more years. Drink now-2022.
