Fresh , crushed ants on opening after a 1 hour decant.
Still very acidic but nice typical house lightness to the product.

It is a nice wine but lacks that wow factor. I would have expected more complexity. It has subtle fruit flavour, some wet stone notes, pleasant to drink without food. Suggest waiting at least 1 - 2 years before drinking the last bottle or decanter for a few hours.

This is a 12 yo delight, it is so fresh , light , but that’s ok, fragrant and full of lovely mixed fruit . No sign of-colour age , which is remarkable given my experience with early Pinots in Oz when though deep in clour had age nose very quickly .

I found this very difficult, heavy .

11/23/2021 10:22:00 PM - Have just finished the last glass via Coravin.
It is very heavy which is what Pommard is know for and is rated 90-92 by Burghound, or maybe 92 , but I haven’t had a Pommard for a long time and while I think Cote De Beaune wines are great value as the snobs don’t like them , I found this heavy and although age might help , I think it is developed enough to show its true self .
Try a bottle now and see what u think, my cellar record says I have 2 more bottles, if so , they go to auction.

1/8/2021 8:06:00 PM - I follow Burghound for ratings and drinking windows and he says 2022+ , I’d be waiting a couple of years and I would also decant for 2-3hours ,his rating is 93-95 , I think it’s a special wine

Ok , not too advanced as some examples of a batch bought at option , a little dryer in style to my preference for more opulent Meursaults.

Advanced colour but had no fear , while cold it was good but as it warmed it was very good and had a nutty element at the end of the palate.
A very good wine but I must say the gap between grand cru and premier is narrower in white burg than red.

This is much boomed and my first galaxy for years and those were French .
It was disappointing , maybe they are trying to make a gutsy Gemayel which is fair enough but it was stalky and needing much more time but given this was my only test bottle I will avoid

Had the 2004 prior night and it was silky smooth but this was still young so I will give it 5 years and it will like be as good, great value as poor mans grange, May it continue, keep the secret!

6/20/2019 12:15:00 AM - I did not buy 2011 because my favourite rating source Stephen Tanzer didn’t taste the 2011 but Janis Robinson who’s ratings are ok rated it 18 in 2016 and -17 a year later but that is still a good rating , I didn’t follow the vintage

This was in the dead zone, colour all wrong brownish and wine hate left overs of quality only, I shudder because I have 10 bottles to go, I hope it’s an aberration, and my disappointment made deeper by having a great 07 a few days before
