This was the last of several bottles I bought back in the day when Aussie wines were all the rage. Intended to open two hours before pouring, but the cork did not cooperate...completely crumbled on me. I took out as much as possible and then pushed the remainder through. From there, I strained it into a decanter and got rid of most of the pieces. As for the wine, explosive aroma from the decanter of blue fruit and pepper. In the mouth, some sweetness to go with the peppery finish as well as strong blueberry notes...I would have figured this for a young wine. It was nice to revisit this style and this bottle delivered, but I have moved on.
