First of all, case #1 for why tempro needs to be limited to 13.5% at the highest (okay, 14% if you're Ringland) and definitely controlled on the new oak. This one at 11 years is still a bomb of fruit sugars, with dark succulent fruits (I would call it a succubus if I was looking for a romantic comparison) and really extreme oakiness. It has some wonderfully sublime tertiary flavors of rock, forest floor and some beef blood, but those will take anywhere from 10-15 years to really show themselves. And if it wasn't for the wonderful acids holding this bruiser together we would never get there. To give you an idea how strong this is, I'm less than two glasses in and I already need to call a cab to get home.... Hold until the LA Olympics.
